Our state was been devastated by the tornadoes that ripped through peoples homes and lives. As the death toll continues to climb, people are starting to clean up the ruble and start over again.
This is the time that residents need to be keenly aware of how to survive disasters. I know we all have heard lowest floor, center-most room of the house, but what else can you do? Be prepared for the aftermath. Make sure you have documents stored somewhere safe and that you have an emergency plan for your family.

The National weather service issued a statement saying that there were 74 reported tornado touch downs with the storm cell that passed by us, and that there is only one other occurrence in U.S. history of a storm causing so much damage(it was in the 70s).
