Yes, it is true. Facebook announced at a recent developer’s conference that they would be sending even more updates down the pipeline. These changes, which are scheduled to go public on Sept. 29, are rather big.
Among the changes is a new profile interface code-named Timeline. Timeline will allow you to have a huge picture header on your page. It completely transforms the profile page that you have had all these years and makes it more of a history lesson on you and your activity on Facebook from right now to the day that you signed up. Of course, data is subjective and you can hide any content that you don’t want publicly viewed any longer. There is no word yet on what this will do to posts that friends write on your wall or comments that are made to them.
Also, you will be able to choose a verb when “liking” something. You no longer have to “like” you can determine which verb best fits the situation.
